Winding Way hike

Before I get into the description for this morning's hike, please raise your hand if you have seen episode one of the Biggest Loser season 11?  This is the season they are showing right now.  For the rest of y'all without your hand up, please find the episode online and watch it.

The reason for this is because there is a new twist in the Biggest Loser show.  They have added two new trainers who take some of the contestants to an "unknown" location and train them for four weeks.  This "unknown" location is the BLR where I am right now.  

The first episode of this season shows some of the property here.  When the contestants are working out in the gym at the "unknown" location, that is the gym that we use every day.  You'll notice the white walls of the gym and each machine has a red number on it.

By the way, the red numbers are for circuit training.  We start on a cardio machine for a 2 minute interval, then move to the next machine one number higher.  The next number after cardio is always weight training.  During weight training, we have a 45 second session followed by 30 second rest, followed by another 45 second session.  Then, we go one number higher, which is on a cardio machine.

Alright, now on to the hike.  This is the start of my third week and I have yet to have a typical day.  I've posted the pictures so y'all can see what's going on.  We'll be on a beach hike and then see a Miller Lite commercial being filmed.  Or go to Paramount Ranch and see the old western movie set.

Well today's out of the ordinary event was seeing a waterfall on the hike.  It wasn't the world's best waterfall and the water level was low, but it was very nice and peaceful to see.  Here's a couple of pictures.




Closing through for the day:  Today is the start of week three and I can already see a complete change in mindset.  The hike today was really easy, so we had to make it hard.  On my first day, I probably would have been satisfied with completing the easy part of the hike.
